 | From the edge of the wood to the final consumer, FSC and PEFC certified products pass through the different steps of trade and processing – the chain of custody. Each producer is demonstrably controlled through the “chain of custody”, and this assures that the chain is unbroken and may be tracked demonstrably – from the tree up to the finished cardboard package. |
 | While PEFC stands for a considerate forest management, FSC guarantees moreover the evaluation and verification according to internationally agreed environmental, social and economic standards. This is confirmed for consumers by the imprint of the respective logo on the packaging. |
| Wolfgang Bargehr, director of the quality management of Offsetdruckerei Schwarzach confirms: “FSC and PEFC are non-profit independent institutions that guarantee economic, ecological and social sustainability.” When raw materials are FSC and PEFC classified, this denotes that no compromises have been made neither to the quality of the packaging nor to productivity. | |
